Do you want to renovate rare moments in your life? Your childhood moments, convocation ceremony in the college, wedding, birthday whatever it may be, you can arrest them into your memory by a simple click of soft button using a camera.
A digital camera captures video and stills photographs digitally by recording images on a light sensitive sensor. They can even record a sound or a moving video. You can manipulate the snapped picture using them. Due to the above facilities provided by a digital camera, they group a large number of vendors. These are of many types. A few of them are:
1. compact cameras
2. Ultra compact cameras
3. Digital Single Lens reflex cameras
4. Bridge cameras
5. Line- scan cameras
Compact cameras: These are compact regarding their size and weight. You can easily carry them. These can be easily fit into a jacket pouch and weigh 8 ounces or less even with batteries and media installed.
Ultra compact cameras: These are of less weight compared to compact ones. These generally weigh in at less than 5 ounces.
Digital Single Lens reflex camera: These cameras use a mechanical mirror system and a pentaprism to direct light from the lens. DSLR has larger sensors which are generally closer in size to the conventional film formats. So, many professionals prefer them.
Line Scan cameras: These cameras have a CCD sensor which is formed by a single line of photosensitive elements. The attainment of image is done line by line. These cameras help in precision measurements such as detection of impurities on any inspected surface. The linear sensor offers high resolution property.
Bridge cameras: These are just like DSLR but they do not contain the detachable lenses, mirror and reflex system characteristics of them. They have smaller range of ISO sensitivity due to their smaller sensors.
Digital cameras have different applications apart from restoring our memories. They are used in space telescopes, astronomical devices, even in under water systems to capture the sea life.
The basic accessory of a digital camera is the memory card. This restores the pictures taken on them. Most of the cameras use a 16 MB removable memory cards for recording. Cameras supporting memory cards of 128MB, 265MB are also available.
Caring your camera:
Your digital camera is an exclusive and classy tenure. Though most of us know about the significance of taking care of it, few of us go for the safe and correct way to do that. Here are a few tips caring tips of your camera.
1. Do not forget to cover the lens while your cam is not in use.
2. Handle all the fragile parts of the camera such as memory cards, camera panel with care.
3. Clean the battery workings and remove the batteries while the camera is not in use.
4. Turn off the camera when you are not using it.
5. Put silica gel capsules in the storage box of your camera to prevent condensation.
